NARCO RoundUp (APR20)
First, a big Ramadan Karim to everyone who is observing the Holy Month in these difficult times. Algeria’s political leadership is consolidating power both in the government and in the energy sector. Libya may be in the midst of something of a coup, even as the war rages on. But even Libyans themselves can’t agree about what is happening. Meanwhile, Mauritania is taking advantage of the coronavirus lull to look into former president Mohamed Ould Abdelaziz’s past dealings, but the lockdown is slowing offshore gas activity.
