As we forecast last Wednesday in our North Africa RoundUp, “it is likely only a matter of time before terrorists are able to target [Tunisia’s] more densely populated (and touristic) coastal areas. Given the increasing popularity of the Islamic State in jihadi circles, it is possible that a Tunisian Islamic State sympathizer could carry out an attack against a ‘western’ or ‘westernized’ target.”
